Information on I.F.I. Hajj Package 1431H/2010
1) Introduction:
The Islamic Foundation of Ireland has been organising Hajj trips for the last six years. Our group consists of 100 pilgrims.2) Our Route to the Holy Lands:
It has been our practise to go to Madinah first to visit the Prophet’s Mosque and then go to Makkah afterwards. For the last four years we fly to Madinah directly from Istanbul on Turkish Airlines without having to go through the busy Jeddah airport.3) In Madinah:
We usually try to be in Madinah by the 1st of Dhul-Hijjah so that people can stay there for around four/five days before departure to Makkah on the 5th of Dhul-Hijjah.
The 5th of the Dhul-Hijjah is the last day for pilgrims to depart from Madinah to Makkah.
The main purpose of our visit to Madinah is to visit the Prophet's Masjid and pray in it. While in Madinah we arrange a tour to visit Quba Masjid and Uhud MartyrsWe travel the journey from Madinah to Makkiah by buses (airconditioned.) On our way we stop at Dhul-Hulaifah (also known as Aabaar Ali) to make our Ihram for Umrah.
4) In Makkah:
Upon arrival in Makkah we do Umrah – as the type of Hajj which we usually do is Tamatu’.
Upon arrival in Makkah we stay in Aziziyyah for 2-3 days from where we arrange for people to do their Umrah. After doing Umrah we rest in Aziziyyah getting ready for Hajj.
On the morning of the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah we leave Makkah to Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah where we stay for 5½.
After return from the holy sites we leave our accommodation in Aziziyyah to stay in a hotel near the Haram in Makkah for the rest of the days (6) before departure to Ireland.
Note Please:
People who are chosing the shorter package (7-21 Nov.) will depart to Ireland after returning from Mina. They will not be staying in the Makkah hotel. We find many benefits in this arrangement (visiting Madinah first and then go to Makkah.) One of the most important benefits is that it gives the pilgrims ample time to do the rites of Hajj completely without having to compromise any part of it - as they are not in any hurry to go to Madinah on the13th of Dhul-Hijjah- according to the period-booking system of accommodation in Makkah during the Hajj season.
5) Departure and Return for the year 1431 Hijri/2010:
The first day of the lslamic month of Dhul-Hijjah is expected to be on Sunday 7 November 2010. Our package was usually for 19-21 days. However, this year we plan to have two groups which depart on the same day, but return on different dates.
Deaprture of the two groups: Sunday 7 November 2010
Return of first group (shorter package): Sunday 21 November 2010.
Return of the second group (standard package): Saturday 27 November 2010.
The duration of the trip for the shorter package will be: 14 days.
